Skin & Tissue Grafting
Skin grafting is a medical process that includes removing skin from one area of the body and moving it, or transplanting it, to different area of the body. This surgery might be done if a part of your body takes lost its caring cover of skin due to burns, Injury, or illness. Skin grafts are performed in a hospital. Most skin grafts are done using general anesthesia, which means be sleeping throughout the procedure and won’t feel any pain. Tissue grafting also called a Gum graft or a soft tissue graft is a procedure that is designed to restore the health and natural appearance of your gum tissues by repairing the damage done by gum recession. We start by administering a local anesthetic, which numbs the medical sites. If you are feeling very nervous, we can also discuss your sedation options.
